NOTES: Descriptive Adjectives? What is that?

Beautiful. Moody. Sarcastic. Helpful. Coy. Evil. Sweet. 

All the examples above are called Descriptive Adjectives. BUT how different is descriptive adjectives from normal adjectives? SIMPLE, descriptive adjectives describe the noun that follows while descriptive adjectives are specifically meant to describe the condition or additional information about the noun.


ADJECTIVES: ---------------> describes the nouns and pronouns
DESCRIPTIVE ADJECTIVE: -----------------------> describe something MORE about the noun


Descriptive adjectives can be used to describe many aspects of a nouns. Some of the available use of descriptive nouns are for describing appearance, personality, sound, taste,quantity, shape and feelings.

Example of descriptive adjectives are:

Appearance & Shape

Kate Middleton is a very well-mannered and elegant lady. She has attractive facial features with a broad smile.

Quantity & Taste


There was an abundant of delicious pastries at the tea party today.

Personality

Hellen Keller is a very talented, ambitious and gifted person in the field of education.
